How can i get my mac laptop to print to my dell desktop?

I have the macbook pro and a dell desktop. The dell is connected to the printer but I am wondering how and if it is possible to set up my laptop so that it will print without having to plug in a cord or email it to my desktop (which is extremely slow!)
